Life

Wow. For once I am at a loss. I can't think of anything hugely misadventurous that happened to me lately. Well, except. . .

I went on the RUF retreat this weekend, and I forgot to pack:
any long sleeved shirts (yes, it was cold)
soap (I had shampoo though)
my contact case (and I had my contacts in)
my medicine
cds or a book

I actually packed ahead of time, too (rueful grin). No, I'm not at all spacey.

This week I've been busy as usual writing papers, drawing pictures on Bebo, and going on my first date.

Forgetting your contact case... that must stink. Heh heh your 'first date'. Better described as a fiasco. :)

Unless you're referring to another date... Do tell!

LOL. . .I just have to see if anybody's really reading my blog.
No, jimmy, I was not referring to that first. . .fiasco.

Yikes--how do I give the brief version?
I went to an RUF game night two Fridays ago, after which jason and I (he's a friend who lives on my floor) wanted to go see Zorro w/ a bunch of friends. Well, nobody was interested except for this other guy. Anyhow, we three went, and it turns out this guy really likes me. I saw him again the next night at the RUF barn dance, where I told him that I wasn't interested in dating. Anyhow, I go to a Halloween party the next night, and in the course of meeting new people, I start talking to guy #2. Then guy #1 comes up, and says "Did you know she just broke up with me?" I laugh and say "We can't break up if we're never gone out." Guy #2 plays along, and says "I thought we were going out." So I broke up with him too. LOL, I've now got to exs without ever having been on a date.
Then last Monday guy #2 and I went out to dinner and watched a movie. . .end of story.

Satisfied?

We watched Kingdom of Heaven (such a great date movie--LOL, I picked it). It was fun, but I just like the guy as a friend. I've decided that dating is quite a pain in general--maybe because I haven't met my scottish hero yet.

date? whoa! time out!
already? dang... you're really making progress. ;)

We're still buds right? I'm not sure if you wanted to call that surprise at baccalaureate last year an "act of courtship" (jk lol)

and yah. papers suck.

Of course we're still friends, Max. :) And I brought that surprise with me to college; it reminds me to stick to my idealism and intergrity.
